In a matter of a couple of days, I experienced the magnificence of fall colors one day and the next day woke up to prairies covered in white winter magic, with graceful deer roaming. I was pampered with love and care in every aspect.

My love for horses goes all the way back to childhood at my grandparent's farm. The last four days I spent time connecting with these amazing animals, earning their trust and becoming so vulnerable to their presence.

Oniya was the first time I took a deep long breath in years. It was an unexpected 5-day trust-fall that has carved out a permanent place in my heart. I was nurtured and embraced by the people, animals, the food, and the land. It was exactly what I needed.
