Horses are an exquisite animal that represents freedom from the mind.
They are beautiful, strong, sensitive, intuitive, and mystic beings all at once. Since they are a prey animal, they are always completely present in their

majestic bodies. They are powerfully wired to read the room, check the energy, and act accordingly from their heart, gut, and mind in that order of importance. We can learn so much about how to navigate our lives by simply watching them, connecting with them, and then listening. Like them, if we operated and made decisions from our heart, listened to our gut for any warnings or promptings, then used our brain for logistics to navigate forward into our heart desires, we would experience a life of flow, joy, and divine contentment. When challenges occur, we can feel our feelings, then quickly move back to a neutral presence.

Oniya Ranch was founded on the magic of the horse-human connection and has attracted the sweetest horses to support all of us with constant love, lessons, and building our confidence and trust to be present. They model how to live in this moment, and then this moment. Being right where we are in each moment to make decisions and actions based on what truly is happening around us is the only experience of true freedom.
We present a Horse 101 class to our guests that shares a way to really see a horse and learn how to listen to their wisdom from your heart brain and understand energy and its presence in everything we think and do.
We have three beautiful herds roaming our land.

The first is one of the most beautiful relationships ever represented between Cree and Maya. Cree is a flashy black and white registered American Paint horse and Maya is a glamorous sorrel quarter horse that takes the lead as our equine matriarch. They have been paired for 20 years, and they model the give and take of a healthy relationship. She creates, he protects. They are everything.
Their herd also includes our two comedic donkeys named Daisy and Poppy, that also represent the most amazing, supportive friendship model. They are each other’s binky in all situations. Everyone should have a Daisy to their Poppy.
The second herd are the Ranchers. They are four completely connected quarter horse buddies that

have been working and ranching most of their lives. Now that they live with us, they are our sturdy, peaceful trail riding and property touring partners that really are the sweetest guys. Hollywood is a dazzling palomino that has become such a love and a core energy on the ranch. His best friend Chocolate (Chocolate Duck) is a beautiful bay with a soft eye and a heart of gold. Then there is Ben (Benny). This is the largest, big boned, super hungry quarter horse we have ever met. He is gray and so chill that he is like riding a sofa, but he can get after it if you put a cow in front of him. His best friend is Happy who is a beautiful, athletic and perfect horse that is in fact Happy. With his shining sorrel coat, he is so pretty that he gets mistaken for Maya.

Then there is the Canadians, our fancy herd. They are retired Cavalia liberty rock stars and now sharing their knowledge, sweetness, liberty talent, and human healing qualities here at Oniya. They have traveled the world stages and are globally known as being the best at what they do. Our residents and guests love watching this magical troupe race across Montana’s green rolling hills under big blue and

white skies or simply dotting the landscape with their fancy raised tails. When interacting with them as a herd, the magic is in their modeling of true collaboration, connection, and team building. They have supported business teams in communication, and individuals searching for connections. These guys are so loved around the world and especially by us right here at home. They are the only residents on the land that get to snowbird in San Diego for the winters. They deserve their cushy retirement life.
No matter where you look at Oniya, you will see a beautiful horse that was drawn to be here just like you were.
