When you visit Oniya, you are coming to our home. We welcome you onto the ranch to get you back into nature and grounded in reality. We help you get out of your head and into your heart. Sometimes humans need the clarity that only nature can provide.
There are times when you need to be the one that gets acknowledged, protected, and nurtured. You take care of everyone else; here, you start taking care of yourself.
All guests must be 18 years or older to attend.

EXPERIENCE
Every guest participates in an intention call prior to arrival to discuss your goals for each visit. This important dialogue will shape your experience with us. Our personal approach makes Oniya a very different and highly effective retreat.
In total, our guests will have two pre-arrival calls to ensure that all questions are answered, and goals are shared.
THE HEART
Oniya operates on Kristi Overgaard’s personal ranch, The Heart Brand Ranch. The reason for the name is that she owns the coveted Montana heart-shaped, single-iron livestock brand. This brand is important in the ranching world but even more important to our mission. One of Oniya’s core offerings is to teach guests to think and operate from their hearts.
You will see our beloved brand many times during your stay. It’s in our artwork, in your experiences, and even in your food. Since our beginning, Karla Aus, Kristi’s sister, has been creating heart-shaped food fare. You will take in heart-shaped beets, cucumbers, potatoes, energy bars, and even eggs.
The story of how Kristi was able to obtain this rare brand is quite a tale. Ask her to tell the story one night around the fire.
There are three ways to visit Oniya, depending on what you want your experience to be grounded in. Each retreat includes nature immersion and working with our healing horses.
